Beginning in early 2008, Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) – one of the world’s largest financial groups – began full scale operations of their Personal Financial Services Division, branded as HSBC Premier, in Japan. Working closely with HSBC’s Headquarters and their Asia-Pacific Regional Offices, PAE has created a design solution that both respects HSBC Premier’s global identity and responds to the uniqueness of Japanese culture and banking customs. The results are a new type of banking experience that has never before been seen in Japan. To date, the first 5 Premier branches have been opened in and around Tokyo, and the bank continues to work with PAE to roll out more branches throughout Japan in the coming years.
